On 27 May 2026, the members of the Ukrainian Education Research Association took part in an anniversary event, i.e. the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Comparative Pedagogy and International Education – 2026: Reforms in the Context of Unpredictable Influences”, which took place at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.
Oksana Zabolotna, President of the UERA, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication at Uman National University delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the organisation. She congratulated the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine on its 100th anniversary and shared the memories of the long-standing collaboration between the Ukrainian Educational Research Association and the Institute of Pedagogy, which has been ongoing for over 20 years.
Yelyzaveta Panchenko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, UERA member and a researcher of the Can’t Wait to Learn Programme in Ukraine presented her report at the conference. Her presentation ‘Digital personalised learning during wartime: findings from the Study of the Can’t Wait to Learn Programme in Ukraine’ showed the results of the programme’s impact on the development of pupils’ mathematical competence and reading literacy, and outlined the study’s limitations from the perspective of comparative pedagogy.
The investigation presented by the presenter generated considerable interest amongst the academic community and was regarded as an innovative initiative, particularly due to the integration of the Can’t Wait to Learn digital application. The conference participants expressed an interest in further findings from the study that were not covered during the presentation.
The detailed findings from the study will be presented shortly in two academic articles, as well as at events to be organised by the Ukrainian Educational Research Association.
