Researchers’ Meetings in Copenhagen

Representatives of Ukrainian Educational Research Association – Vice-president prof. Oksana Zabolotna and the council member prof. Olena Kovalchuk participated in European Conference of Educational Research in Copenhagen (August 21-25, 2017). The conference for more than 2800 participants from all over the world was hosted by the newest campus of University College Copenhagen (UCC - https://ucc.dk/international).

The UERA members delivered the pecha kucha presentation «Balancing between Centralized Administration and School Autonomy: Challenges for Ukrainian School». The format was tested during the conference.

As usual, European Conference of Educational Research became the platform for discussing important issues in the education.

UERA Vice-president Oksana Zabolotna also participated in two days’ EERA council meeting (August 26-27, 2017). The agenda was connected with organizational issues, ECER 2017 review, upcoming ECERs in Bolzano (Italy), Glasgow (Scotland) and Geneva (Switzerland).

The working groups discussed the following issues:

  • ideas for supporting Low GDP researchers /Emerging Researchers (also beyond ECER) and Networks
  • organising ECERs in countries where ECER has not yet been
  • evaluating ECER Survey amongst Member associations: how is work for EERA institutionally supported?
  • educational research in EU funding.
